Isamu Noguchi was born in 1904 in USA.His father is a Japanese poet and his mother is American.In 1924,at that time, he was in Comumbia colleage and at same time, he study in the night school for art influenced by his mother and he was absorbed by the art and soon quit the university and took up the sculpture full time.
In 1927,supported by a fund, he went to Paris to study sculpture from Brancusi,two years later,he held his first exhibition in Newyork.In 1930,to study all kinds styles of sculpture, he went o Moscow and Asia.He ever learned Chinese Ink painting from China most famous ink painting master Qi Baishi.From then on, he began to integrate oriental style into his design,bringing oriental space aesthetics to western modern rationality.From 1941 to 1950,he experienced a lot of suffering because of the World War Two.In 1952,he married but soon divorce in 1957.From 1962,he began to be popular with Japanese enterprises and government and did a lot of big projects and cooperated with a lot of famous architects and in 1970,he designed the lanterns series which were very popular at that time.In 1981,he bought land in New York and set up museum of his own together with the architect named Shoji Sadao.The museum was opened 1985 and Isamu Noguchi won the prize of Sacred Treasure issued by Japanese government and he died in Dec.30 of 1985
